When I'm gone, No need to wonder if I ever think of you. The same moon shines, the same wind blows. For both of us, and time is but a paper moon...

Happy 74th Birthday - 1947 – Brian May, English singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and astrophysicist

On the 10th of May 2021, SGAC has officially approved and adopted the following three documents from the EAGLE Team: a Lunar Governance Report, an Executive Summary and a Lunar Manifesto.

The Report discusses the current status of the lunar policy landscape and presents EAGLE’s proposal for its way forward: the global development of a Lunar Governance Charter. The purpose of this instrument would be to operationalise the fundamental principles of international space law and enable the incremental development of new ones. The Executive Summary outlines the key elements of the Report, while the Manifesto provides a visual representation of its essential points.

Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Volume 505, Issue 4, August 2021

Tantalising evidence has been uncovered for a mysterious population of “free-floating” planets, planets that may be alone in deep space, unbound to any host star. The results include four new discoveries that are consistent with planets of similar masses to Earth, published today in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
